This tractor is for sale in a closed auction around my neck of the wood , The Kwik-way loader look in good shape, the tractor is in working order, with no hour meter it's a bit hard to tell if the engine is in good shape too unless I made the 100 miles ride to do a compression test not even knowing if this engine got a compression release start system of some kind.

Here some picture, Now I wonder what it worth before I throw a insane amount of money to get it...I'M impulsive some time...:fing32:

Yardman 999, which is the newest incarnation of the biggest MTD tractor they built. The 960/990 from the 70's is what is common from the series.. With the loader, it's going to hit $2k if anyone who knows what it is is looking at it. Those tractors can bring a grand by themselves easy.

Thank for the fair estimation Matt, It's not far from what I was guessing, I estimate the tractor value from $600 to $700 since a very good shape one sell for $800 to $1000, the FL worth easily $1000 to $1200.

So after I do the math and consider the risk of a high hour engine or some hydro issue I figure a absolute bargain price should be $1500 and a fair price goes to $1900. We will see in 5 days...

id never pay $1000 for mine or any other MTD 9xx. the loader is where the $ is...$1000-$1400.
but it all depends on how the machine was used and taken care of. judging by the seat it has been used often and maybe kept outdoors.
before ya drop that kind of cash id go look at it in person. and crawl all over it, looking at everything, drive it ect.

This tractor his not a trailer queen for sure and doing a 6hr trip in the middle of the week to crawl all over it is not possible. I deal few times with those "gobernement" peoples, I call tomorrow and speak with the equipment maintenance manager (Dave).

PS: As long the FL work flawlessly that's all that count, the tractor is just a bonus for me :fing32:

6 hrs ? i thought ya said it was 100 miles away ?
I was wrong! I use Google maps and found out it's 3h05 from my place.

I speak with Mr Reynolds he tell me the engine and tranny are in good condition but the hydraulic got a major issue. Nothing to scare me from but my $2000 +15% taxes offer was not enough to win it.:dunno:

Final selling price $2880.75 all taxes included!

It amazes me what some of the stuff on this site sells for. $2800 for a 2002 Skidoo Skandic Tundra 270 cc sled... It doesn't start and there is no windshield, among other problems...

I never mention the name of the site...:dunno::rolleyes:

You spy on me? Are you working for the "Crapnadian gobernement"?:hide:

Joke aside ...Some bidder may need a brain surgery... I see one time a guy who pay $200 less then the retail price (taxes included) for a cheap John Deere LT use for emission testing. Tractor look brand new but since he didn't purchase from a store or a dealer no 3 years warranty came with it.

Heh to be honest I only found this thread because I was googling the model number on the auction site. And the pictures were the same... There were some pedal go-karts that sold for about double what I thought they would as well.
