I maintain the mowers for our local cemetery. We have an 2007 Yard Man 42" 13AN772G729. The person that does the mowing had the belt go up on him last week. When I got the tractor the belt was on BACKWARDS! I got the replacement 954-04060B belt and it had a LOT of slack in it. I replaced it with a Huskee 1/2x96 kevlar belt and the deck was nice and smooth until you went to mow. As soon as you put a load on it the kicks the belt off. I have all the guides back on and everything. What could cause this to happen? The only thing I can think of is I replaced the spring that causes the brake on the deck to work. It wasn't the replacement spring but it was similar in size and tension, just a tad harder. Would this cause the deck to have too much slack at throw the belt or do I have to take the deck off again and adjust something?

Thanks guys! :trink39:
