Beautiful Yanmar Ben,

Fairly certain the PTO HP is 23 and the engine around 27-28 HP. The model is so new that there aren't that many available and information is, at best, sketchy. You can remove the filters and have them physically matched up using a good parts counter person that has the patience. You might also have a spin on hydraulic filter on that model...I'm just not sure.

The only person that is very familiar with these "F" and "FX" models I'm aware of is Tractor Ernie of ErniesImports.com. This gent seems to be light-years ahead of the rest of the U.S. dealers concerning the F series tractors...Maybe our own Mickey will spot your post and help out.

Personally, I wouldn't hesitate to buy an F series tractors an they are imported with very low hours but retain the reliability as is typical with the Yanmar brand. Expect nothing less than decades of service from this tractor and when you do need a part they will be much more available.

I see Mark has beat me in responding.

Nice looking Yanmar. Would like to see and hear more about the FEL on it. Have to agree with Mark about the engine power.

Could you provide the engine model number. If it is the same as my FX24 I can provide the filter numbers.

See Mark has mentioned Ernie. Bought my tractor from him. He has 3 Fxxx models of his own i.e. not for sale. Ernie posts here infrequently so best bet would be to contact him dierctly at his web site if the need arrises.

You might also check with Fredricks Equipment in Hartselle, Al. They have a bunch of Yanmars including the F and FX series along with parts for them. Their parts department could probably help you on identifying the filters. I bought my ROPS and operation manual for my F20 there. ROPS was well worth it......the operation manual was vague at best.

I understand the way to know the h.p. is to multiply the model number by 1.2 My F20 is 24 H.P.

For Yanmar, the first 2 digits in the model number are the PTO HP. Engine will be about 20% more.

Iragan,

Excellent advice. I don't know why but I completely forgot about Frederick's and they certainly do the Lion's share of importing on this side of the country.

I did look through their '05 catalogue and found nothing listed on the FX235...that does not mean they don't currently stock the tractor or parts.

Hows that F20 treating you??
