The lights on my 2620D don't work on shifter so that isn't an issue, make sure you have enough fluid in transmission.
I do remember my tractor was getting slow, I changes filter at back of rear end by PTO shaft my filter is behind a triangle shaped plate below PTO and offset to the right a little bit, I don't know if your tractor is the same, after I changed it the tractor ran like new.
