Have any of you with the XT3 noticed the frame flex? I can feel the frame flexing while sitting in my seat. Its almost like there are some frame bolts loose and when I go over uneven ground the frame is flexing in the rear. Is this normal flex or do I have something going on with the frame. I checked for loose bolts but haven't found any. Maybe I need to look harder for loose frame bolts. It seems to be excessive I'm wondering if MTD went cheap on the 2018 XT3 frame on mine. Heck it even makes a creaking sound when the frame flexes which it flexes all the time while I'm driving over the least uneven ground. Wondering if it has a flimsy thin frame that's not heavy duty enough for the weight of this machine.
Any thoughts anyone.

I haven't noticed mine doing it but I did find I had a missing seat slide track bolt yesterday. Cub uses a stout frame on these with a 5 year warranty. Maybe have Rhonda drive it around with the engine idle set low and listen to find where it's creaking. I'll get on mine today and see if it's doing the same.

Check your seat track bolts.

Well I checked the seat track all bolts are there and tight. Looked under the fenders on the frame nothing loose under there either. I could find a bolt loose anywhere. Oh well guess it's normal flex I feel. The 60" Fab mower deck is heavy so maybe that's the thing. 50.4 hrs on it and going to just roll with it. Won't be long till 1st mowing this year I already have weeds growing 3 plus inches tall. Nothing like South East Texas growing season.

On a side note I think I found a place to mount my 2/4x4 LED light bars on front without drilling a hole. Going to make a L shape bracket to mount them on and see if the clear the tires when turning.

I bet that 60" deck is >200lbs easy. My 54" fab is a bear to drag out. Crazy you have anything growing right now. We're in dormant season till April here. 26 degrees right now.

Show some pics of your light install. Very interested in how this works out.

In February here it always hits 85 to 90 for a week. Been in the mid 70s here till yesterday it cooled off to 59. This morning its 38 and today's high forecast is 59 again. I need to put out some pre-emergant and then fertilize. We only get about a 2 month break from mowing here. About the time the leaves fall off my fruit trees they start budding again. I already see some buds on my Fig tree.
I'll be posting pics of my green grass before yours starts growing. LOL

I feel a mild bit of flex at times when snow blowing, but that's about it. I'm a big man, 6'5" and 400 pounds, if the frame was going to flex for anyone it would be me. Lol.

I'm 180# and my dog that rides with me is 12#, my ice chest of brew is about 15#. I can't find anything loose to make it flex like it does all bolts are tight.

You have me wondering now. Mine feels really solid. I'd get on it but it's nasty right now. Rain/sleeting.

some frame flex is acceptable...everything that moves from one point to another will flex.....too rigid and it would shake itself apart......might be called force dampening ?

Mine flexes a good bit as well on uneven terrain. It concerned me a bit at first but no issues in 2.5 years.
That's good to hear, thanks for the feed back. I just drove mine to the front gate about 1/2 mile round trip. Let it flex!!!!

Mudy, feeling the frame flex on your xt3 would be a concern. Looking at the front axle I see two bolts (item#2) that would appear to limit the pivot of your front axle which older 3000 series models do not have. Are you seeing that all four wheels are not in contact with the ground when driving on uneven terrain, particularly a front wheel up off the ground due to limited pivot caused by those two bolts.

No all tires are on the ground. I did adjust the front pivot joint bolts a little. These bolts to tight and I got more frame flex, then I loosened them back up and resulted in less frame flex. I probably have the front pivot bolts to loose right now, but have less frame flex with them pretty loose. I'll add If you have the pivot bolts to loose then you get front wheel wonder so I don't have them so loose to get wheel wonder. They are loose enough to let the pivot do it job but not to loose. I'm going to put a wrench on my seat bolts even though they don't appear loose.

Sounds like you have it covered. If the frame flexing is still a concern I would talk to your dealer about it. I believe the xts have a 3 year warranty don't they? And if you have problems with big Texas whitetail bucks destroying your hay crop I would be happy to help you with that.

5 year chassis and front axle.
Holy inflation Batman!

Edited this. I saw a really high price for the XT3 but it was on the Canadian CC website.

Holy inflation Batman! Just went to the CC website and the XT3 is now $8100 w/o deck. Over $9000 with a big fab deck. Whew!

ETA: No more XT3 GS, GSX only.
WOW, glad I bought mine on Sept. 26th with 60" Fab deck total was $6200. No I feel like I got a bargain.

These Deer are ridiculous at times, they are like goats when their food supply is running low. They even eat my Rose Bush leaves, fruit trees, and anything else they might try just for the heck of it.

Hey Randy I just looked on the Cub Cadet sight and the X3GSX is $5499 and 60" Fab deck is $1299 so I don't know where the $8000 price you found came from. Maybe a Zturn model you seen.
