I used it today for the first time. 3 inches of very wet heavy snow.
The Front Blade
Plowed with 54 blade no problem. The 4x4 and diesel torque is powerful. I have blacktop driveway, the squeegee was effective. Usually floated it also used down pressure to scrape the packed stuff.
The Cab
Visibility is very good. I live on a village street, not much traffic until school and work is out. The 2 - 3 hours I played today I saw 4 cars. The heater did its job, but it was 33F
The Blower
After plowing I tried the 47 Blower. Easy to get on, not perfect JD could make the hose supports bigger. Going from a LX280 and a 4410 JD has really improved the PTO shaft connection. They finally figured out you can not push and pull at the same time.
The nanny police really had me going at first. I blew down the piles of plowed snow, backed up and tried to blow down some more of the pile. After 3 trips back up the driveway to "unclog" the blower I realized that the RIO was turning off the pto every time I backed up. What a PITA. I am impressed with the pushing power of this machine, used the rear locker once and powered out of the snow. No chains, no weight(just me250 and the cab). Now the snow is changing to rain it shouild be gone by saturday.
