Well over the past few weeks I've been going a little crazy with adding things to the x748. Here's some progress so far.
First up was painting the front lower panel of the hood letters yellow. I removed the panel and taped off the entire piece, then used a razor blade to cut out the areas to be painted.
Next was adding lights to the machine and complete conversion to LEDs. The OEM headlights and backup lights I simply swapped for LED bulbs, but that wasn't enough light for me so I went to my favorite site, Amazon. Easily found a set of small flood LED light bars to mount on the fender grab handles. The bracket I used was a KC lights bracket also from Amazon, links to these are below. I wired them up to the factory switch so they come on in both switch positions.
Nilight 2pcs 18w 1260lm Cree Flood Led Work Light Bar Off-road SUV Boat 4x4 Jeep Lamp 4wd https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00IY3YLCI/ref=cm_sw_r_awd_riWPvb91Y228R
KC HiLiTES 7301 Light Mount Bracket for 1.25"-1.5" Tube Clamp https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0002MAFR4/ref=cm_sw_r_awd_gkWPvbEBBHPTT
Then I added flashing rear lights to the back for safety when mowing along the road. I cut a piece of aluminum flat stock and mounted it to the back of the seat using existing holes and screws. Switch is located in the toolbox, I plugged an add a fuse in to an existing fuse that always had power so they operate when the key is off as well.
Another small detail that improved the appearance was the addition of chrome lug nut covers all around.
Last night I got the idea of blacking out the intake grilles on the sides of the hood a little. Did a quick try with electrical tape to see how it looks, and will probably be doing it in plastidip for a finished result. I'm pretty happy with how it sits now but I'm sure there's more to come. ?
