Hi all, been 'lurking' for quite awhile, and now have a question that has been in the back of my mind. Got an x534 this spring, (April, 2011)...love it! Borrowed, (stole) some ideas from various members here...propane heat, chains and weights, OTC cab, etc; now on to a lighting question. Anyone know if it's possible to replace the rear reflector on each fender with a functioning rear light? Kinda like on the x7xx series. Dealer didn't think it's possible, but I knew from months of reading this site, that if it's possible, someone here will have the correct answer. I have front lighting on the cab, emergency strobe, and an LED 3 light bar mounted on Slow Moving Vehicle Sign at the rear, but you can never have to many lights on the back end! Thanks in advance for any help. Billijak

It's certainly possible, the dealer said no 'cause he doesn't have a parts kit to sell you. I think it would be a great mod if you did it!

this guy seems to think it is possible :)

But eBay folks will say almost anything to make a sale- so let someone with actual experience confirm it for you first! :fing32:

Looks like a nice kit! I was an aware of this kit being offered but had the same thoughts and plans when I bough my X540 last fall. I havent got around to it yet but probably someday. In the past I have recessed LEDs in both my bike's for plate lights (in undertail or tailamp)
,
LEDs in rear pegs on bikes for blinkers
,
and LEDs up inside the door handles on my truck that light up the handle area when the doors are locked/unlocked so this project should be fairly straight forward with easy access.
