Hello All,

Long time lurker, first time poster. My X500 broke the belt on the mower deck and I need to replace it. It is the 48C deck - and the belt routing diagram sticker on the deck has been partially damaged - so I cannot see how the belt is supposed to be routed.

My owners manual shows the proper routing path for the 54" deck - but NOTHING for the 48" deck. WTH?

Does anyone have, or can point me to, the correct diagram?

BTW- I already checked at Deere.com and it only shows the same diagram that my owner's manual shows - for the bigger deck only.

Thanks!

This search page for the on-line John Deere Parts Catalog should get you to some good information. Once you have the page open, do these steps:
  • Enter X500 in the Model field at the upper left
  • Click the "find" next to the Model field
  • Click on the (+) in front of the 9524 section
  • Click on the (+) in front of Sectional Index
  • Click on the (+) in front of either 83 or 84 depending on your deck style.
If you have any questions with this stuff, just ask...
