I believe IMF is planning a loader for the x500. http://www.ironmanfabrication.net/

Kwik Way, and Westendorf are two more possible sources.

The Johnny Bucket will fit either, but is a bucket and not a loader.

You could build one yourself with plans or kits. http://www.cadplans.com/loaders.htm

The x300 is a lawn tractor, not a GT, so there won't be much out there for it. Frame and tranny are not strong enough for heavy attachments.

x500 you can get with a sleeve hitch, and use numerous attachments from places like TSC, Northern Tool, and a host of JD enthusiasts who manufacture high quality items for sale.

So far, for my GT, I have a small loader, a 3PH with PTO, a set of pallet forks for the rear, a plow, a disk harrow, wagons, and weight bars.

I'm looking at a boom pole, box scraper, and a front snow blade down the road.

Lots of stuff out there, just search the forum and post a lot of questions, and you'll find sources.

Is a GT the same as a 500? If so, how do you like the 500..

No, GT is just short for Garden Tractor. I have a 1987 JD 318, which would be roughly the equivalent of the x700 series.

The x500 is a shade lighter, but there are no shortages of implements and attachments for it.

Before I decided to buy a used 318, I had done my research on new, and had decided an x520 would have suited my needs perfectly. Of course with the money saved, I've added lots of toys, I mean attachments.

The IMF loader that they are palnning for the older X575,585 and 595 which became the x700 series 4wd models. The only option for the Current X500 and X300 series is the John Deere 40inch tractor shovel or the Johnny Bucket Jr as mentioned above and here the right JB for either X500 or X300 http://www.johnnyproducts.com/J_Bucket_HTMs/JBpage_Jr_John-Deere-GTLX.htm and here's the 40inch tractor shovel http://www.deere.com/en_US/ProductCatalog/HO/servlet/Attachment?attNmbr=LP40000&prodNmbr=SKU21844&tM=HO Hope this helps :thThumbsU
