I saw some X320 reviews that say they have transaxle failures. Anyone here heard of or had this issue?I thought this K58 trans was the better unit.

I've not heard or read any first hand. I remember somebody mentioning in early runs there seemed to be a few, but that it seemed mostly related to manufacturer error then bad design.

Plus you have to keep in mind, there are a precious few talented individuals out there that can break an anvil with a rubber hammer and probably poke their eye out in the process.

Sounds like a good deal, maybe. If Yanmar's quality filters down through its subsidiary companies, then the Kanzaki/TuffTorq transaxles should be as good as the Yanmar diesels.
