x-Series hydraulic SCV question

5731 Views 30 Replies 9 Participants Last post by  AOW162435
I would like to find out if a 'T' fitting is available to go between one of the couplers and the body of the SCV. I've replaced all four couplers before, so I'm aware that they have male threads and seal via an o-ring.

I'd need the third leg of the 'T' to accept a common 1/4" hydraulic line fitting (flare?)

Any thoughts?

I never did find the right o ring boss x o ring boss x npt or JIC fitting, nothing even close. I know they exist, I just didn't have luck finding one. I ended up using quick connects and using the factory hardware.
The fitting I used is: 8 male boss x 8 female boss x 8 female boss. And the rear hose connection for the top of the T was a 90 with a male boss.

I didnt want the hose with a quick coupler hanging out there until I needed it. I was suprised aux hyd sells it that way.

Honestly the top two valves protruding out further because of the T than the lower two makes hooking the hoses up easier on the loader.

If you guys strike out and Hose and Rubber wont ship them, let me know, I pick some up and mail them. They?re about $13 each.

I don't see any links in your prior post(s).

Jeremy,
Thank you again for the pics & info. I contacted Ron at Auxilliary Hydraulics and he has these exact 'T' fittings in stock. So I ordered a pair to hopefully spur the rest of the project along.

"T" fittings received from Auxilliary Hydraulics - exactly what I need. Now I'll look into how I want to set up the remote rear couplers.

Good deal. I didnt know they offered the ?T??s they?re not shown in the x series rear hyd kit they offer.

Thanks for the update.

I believe Ron mentioned that the new x-series remote kit will be setup like this. I'm having lines made locally as my mounting location may differ from where he designed his bracket to go.

Subscribed for a possible rear dump trailer etc.
I'm all for overkill and have an X540. What are we doing with rear hydraulics and what will be used to control it?

Im using my rear hyd for a lift cylinder I added to a BlueBird Ta12 areator

Im also going to use it for a hydraulic top link on my box scraper.

I believe this discussion is about the older X5x5 models that were the precursors to the current X700 series. I don't think that you can setup your X540 for rear hydraulics, as the external ports on the transaxle are only for the deck lift and power steering. I suppose you could rig something up for when the deck isn't mounted, but I don't know if anyone has attempted that.
Found them online in several places once I knew what size I was looking for....

I will likely be converting my rear remotes over to this style.

We need pictures of this.
Andreas,

Did you just pick this unit up? It looks brand new!

Having rear hydraulics definitely opens the door to so many possibilities.

Roger,
No, I clean it after every leaf season, hose it down with WD-40, and then cover it till next near. It's about 17 years old and I purchased it a few years ago.
