I was looking at the compact tractor components web sight and noticed they have a modification possible to greatly improve lift capacity on a 4wd model and PSI raised to 1500psi the machine will lift 700lbs all day. Has any on installed this on there tractor? I was told it is a shim for the relief valve and it would work with the factory 45 loader. Any extra lifting would come in handy.

hi ADV,

If you follow the link below, you will find a discussion of the optional hydraulic components necessary to add an FEL to an X700 series tractor. To the best of my knowledge, the same applies to the earlier designation for the X700 series (e.g., X485, X595, etc).

The discussion also addresses "shimming", and you can follow a link to another thread where an MTF member added the shim to the TTK92 Implement Relief Valve. That was on a Simplicity tractor, but with the same transmission.

Optional Hydraulics for FEL

Hope this helps.
