Um, seen a bunch of pics of these, some with green on the shroud. What model/type is it?

I hate the steel deck. Mowed with the 4-stroke Tecumseh Silver Series w/ Steel deck the other day and it was a heavy beast compared to the commercial 10600.

Worth $45 just for the **** of it?

It is a model 10247 with a 6.5 HP Dura Force engine. Steel deck and push. It would have to be free for me to get one of those. I hate Dura Force's. Just my opinion. I have had three DF's and they are all gone now. Better off with a C, D, or F as far as reliability goes.....

Some mowers you get one opinion, either high praise, or dire warnings across the board.

I'd say these the duraforces receive many mixed opinions. That and the steel deck should be enough for me to pass. Perhaps if I really needed a mower, but I have plenty.

Yep, that's a 10247. If it was a pusher with the green shroud, it would likely be a 10424. I have both and I like them. Certainly it could be worth $45 if it runs well and doesn't need much in work/parts.

My LB guy gets $150 for them after he's gone through them.

As another poster said, it's nice to have a steel deck mower to use if you don't want to damage an aluminum one with debris.
