Finally did a little more getting this little tractor back together. Lots of parts were missing and Ebay really isn't much help with these older DB Suburbans. I've had to reproduce a lot of parts for it already. Fortunately I have some others here to go by. Here's a couple progress pics from yesterday. With an old "before" pic too

Love them DB's. Nice work so far :fing32:
Its looking awesome. I want one just like that or one like your blue '62. Those are my favorite looking David Bradleys. Are you going to go with the factory blue wheels or are you going to put white rims on it? What brand/color did you paint it? Looks great. Looking forward to seeing it done.
Looking good. That's going to be a nice tractor.
I can't wait to see it done!!! I will have to come visit again :D

Thanks Everybody. Gonna be white wheels and seat. Not really concerned about correct colours. The copper is not like the original gold and the tractor isn't all original anyway so I don't feel bad about changing it some. Plus it was slathered with heavy coats of paint. If it hadn't already been badly repainted I would not have painted myself it and only redid the mechanicals.

The copper colour was from a 72 gmc truck. I think they called them Custom? or Custom Deluxe??. The two tone ones with white roofs. It's acrylic enamel without hardener to try and keep the gloss down some.
Got through some nagging problems so hopefully not too much more to slow it down now.

Anytime James! We'll have to give it a good workout!
all that work are you going to redo the wheels
What kind of parts are you reproducing?
Don't remind me! ...Speed changer parts, thrust washers for steering, steering bushings, grille pivot bushings, belt guard, cowl lock, kill switch, steering pinion gear, clutch lever lock, idler pulley bushing, intake snorkel, brake relining, Reverse bracket bushing, more I'm sure, just what I can think of right off. All the stuff that was taken off and lost or just plain worn out I had to make to set it back right.

Wheels are already done, That's the easy part. Backwards, I know, but I always start with the last thing first. It helps me to see to the end
Nice looking DB your doing a great job.
Looks good! Ill be right on James' tail to come see it
Sweet I remeber you posting the finished grill, LOL!!! That was a while back. Looking great so far!!!!! I can't wait to see it finished.

Looking good, I hope to repaint mine in the next few years. I have a pretty complete 61 down here to move. I hate to part it out, but may be the only way to move it, no one around here fools with them.

I know! It was almost a year ago. There's an old Maine excuse for when things are taking far too long,.... "You can't just rush into these kind of things". lol

If you ever do then please keep me in mind. I robbed a few parts from another one and would like to replace them sometime. I'd love to buy the whole thing from you if I was any closer.

I have 3 that could be saved, and really hate to part them, as I would then be stuck with most of the tractor and then still hate to scrap it. I guess when I find some extra time, I need to combine them to see what I end up with even if not quite correct.
I'm jealous! That color on it plus the white is gonna be awsome!Maybe a little red somewhere.
