Not sure I'd want to try to pet him but this old guy frequents a dump that I supervise part time. Last Sunday he sat down a few feet from me. Excuse the poor quality cellphone pic.

Here is another pic of him. Last Fall he got so fat you could not see his eyes and his belly dragged on the ground.

There are some younger bears that frequent the dump but they are too shy to get close enough to get a good pic. I should probably bring my better camera with 30X optical zoom. The younger ones have very nice coats. One has a tattered right ear so I'm guessing he got in a fight or his dinner fought back.

That is a big bear . A bear that ears look small for his head and his legs look to short for his body is a bigun'

I quit the job at the dump so I'm going to miss the old guy. I'll miss scrounging for stuff more. It's amazing what some folks throw out.
