IF you take the L out from under the backhoe can i mount it on a GMT9000???
In a word, No. Putting that on a 9000 is like putting a Ford 302 engine in a Kia. It won't just bolt on and by the time you are done, you could have bought a brand new car that has a V8 engine in it.

Sometimes,,, money just does not matter,,, :dunno:

I could probably put that backhoe on the GMT9000,,,
for less than the cost of a custom hand painted flame paint job,,,
but,,, then I would not have a flamed 5665,,,

Sometimes,, you got to have what you want,,, :thThumbsU

For me,, fighting to keep a backhoe running is enough,,,
I would not compound the issue with a persnickety magneto fired engine,,,

I say that now,,, because currently,,, my shed is full,,,:hide:

Maybe if I got rid of the 24G,,, and the 10Pro,,, I would have some room,,, :swow:

That's a later model Terramite too. Has hydraulics to provide bucket curl and a cylinder on the lift by the handlebars. The first versions of the T-1 had a fixed bucket. You could adjust the curl manually by moving a pin, but it was not adjustable hydraulically. Likewise, the stand by the handlebars was manually adjusted with a pin.

Went to the Terramite factory a long time ago - around 99 or 2000. I'd considered building my own Terramite for my LI. Contacted the factory in W. VA from here in NVA. Met my dad and brother there from Ohio and had a nice chat with the sales mgr. He had his guys pull S/N-1 out for us to look over. IT was in pristine condition on a pallet. Recall him saying they'd just restored it. He let me take measurements and pics etc for about 30 mins.

All was well till the owner/pres looked out and saw us in front of the factory. He saw me taking measurements and came out with quite a look on his face. Realizing he thought I was up to no good (stealing his design etc) I quickly assured him this was legit and only for my own personal use. He calmed down a bit and then when he realized we were just Gravely enthusiasts it seemed to be ok. The Terramite factory is only a couple miles from Dunbar, where the original factory was at. I guess Terramite got a somewhat steady stream of Gravely guys coming through there so the pres knew about our type. haha. Once we got over all that, things were fine. Found out the city cemetary in Dunbar has an early T-1, or did at the time. Since this was over 15 years ago, who knows if they still have one or not. In the end, I never got around to building a T-1 knock-off.

I would love to see a video of that bad boy in action. Stationary pictures just doesn't do it justice I'm sure.

And on a different note CanaryAl, thank you for taking the time to copy the images to your thread. That is one of my pet peeves when an interesting thread or post has a link or images that are no longer valid. So thanks for making that extra effort!

Those are not scratches,,, that is the reflection of clouds,,

**** weird cloud formations... :-}
Yeah? Cad - not Dad. Sorry. I had the same thought as Roger, looking it over again? Then too I know how careful you are with your stuff. Still really odd clouds? :dunno:

You are welcome FM. It is one of my pet peeves as well. Being slightly tech challenged, I don't do it often enough to do it quick, but I figured it out. . .eventually.

Man I sure could use that right now. So compact. And efficient too. Enjoyed seeing the video Ron. Your operator skills are gettin' 'er done. I'm just slightly better with my Ford after a good deal of practice, but early on? . . . . thank Goodness no videos were taken.

So how about his price? I know nothing about pricing that but it didn't seem way out of whack if it functions as it should?

Since going through my loader and as you said Al, it functions as it should. I don't think the price is too far out of whack at all.
By comparison my loader has less going on hydraulically speaking and I'll have between $400-$500 into the hydraulics on mine with what I've replaced. I got lucky.
Assuming no real deals and going with market prices he'll have at least a $1000 into the hydraulics alone but probably more. I'm also assuming worse case he had to replace several cylinders.
I know the ad says stored indoors since new but to me it's the same as ran when parked, you just can't know the true answer to that all that easily.
Just my gut feeling though. If I had that kind of cash I would be looking at it.
