Western Maryland is under a winter storm warning until tuesday at 4 pm. 8 to 12 inchs of snow is perdicted with winds gusting up to 50 mph and temps droping in to the teens.
Well, I know you have been hoping to get your green machine into some snow, so here you go!!!
Don't forget to get the camera tuned up, also! You know the story: :wwp:

Monday 5 am temp in the 20s very windy and only a lite dusting of snow so far. With all this wind. When the snow does come there will be white outs every were. Hoping most folks are still off from work so they can stay home and be safe.

The 10 day forecast here shows nothing of interest, just cold. I'm ok with that, but we'll see how I feel once the OTC cab upgrade is installed on the Craftsman this afternoon!

We're somewhere between 1-2" I'd guess on the ground from the lake effect moisture today. Finally looks like winter here. :snowing:
Bad part was that it has been so warm that the ground was not frozen. So on the roads it pretty much went into ice. Once the side roads get froze and layer of salt is built up on the main roads the travel issues get a little better. Only saw one 4x4 in the ditch though. Probably a newbie 4x4 owner. So not too bad for a first of the season snowfall.

Couple quick fuzzy pictures from my iPod:

We got an inch through the day until it got dark. As soon as the sun went down, the snow started up in earnest and we now have three inches with the winds picking back up.

Sure is going to be an interesting drive into work in the morning.

It looks like you have everything under control...some people have all the fun. Those machines both look like they can get the job done!

We got an inch or two here. Not enough to even put the blade on my Sunstar. Looks like another session with the broom!!

Looking good there redmule!

I used the broom here last night and this morning. Little colder and dryer it would have been good leaf blower snow. :fing32:

Blue skies today mixed with intermittent fast moving snow squalls with little to no accumulation. This is my favorite type of winter weather watching the snow roll in from a distance, pass over and then the sun comes out and melts it back off the pavement with only the grass staying pretty and white. All I have is an old blower I have to push and the drive is on a grade. Now if I had a plow or blower on the Deere I would not mind some accumulation either. :D

We have maybe gotten 2 inches total so far this year. Nothing in the forcast calls for anything.
