Snapper 1650a

My neighbor use to have an old simplicity garden tractor that is long since gone but still has a tiller that he used with it. He says it is belt driven and wanted to know if it would fit my tractor. He seems to think that it is a simplicity tiller. Anybody have a clue on if I could use this on my tractor?

Thanks!

Sorry but it's doubtful. The Simplicity/AC tillers were of two types. For the garden tractors the tiller ran off a multiple pulley PTO system that was driven off the bevel gear box on the left side of the tractor. The small frame lawn tractors had a PTO pulley on the right side of the transmission and I think it used a direct belt drive with idler back to the tiller. If your Snapper has a PTO pulley that matches up to either style system you might engineer something to work.

Shucks. I was hoping it would, owell. What do I need to look for when tiller hunting? Am I looking for a cat0 tiller?
