Greetings! I have a John Deere LX288 lawn tractor and am searching for a snow thrower for it. I found one that came off of a John Deere LX188, a 42" not a 38". From what I can tell from TractorData is the 288 is newer, 1.6" longer, and 1 hp more.. They look the same and am woundering if the mounts are the same where as the snowthrower in question will fit. Thankyou much!

Direct fit no. The lift mechanism is different and the spring assist is already incorporated into the tractor on the lx 288. The rear mounts are similar, but not the same. I am sure the blower could be fitted to your tractor by purchasing the proper attachment parts.
