My lovely wife has given me approval for a garden tractor. There are a couple of simplicity tractor's in my area both need work but both come with tillers one is a newer model with a 50" deck and vertical shaft engine the other is an older red landlord with the horizontal shaft engine. Which would y'all recommend.

Need to know more...which models are they?....how much are the asking prices?..how many hours on them?
Purists will tell you to got with the horizontal shaft engine...Overall Simplicity is a great tractor..you won't be sorry with the choice
Check out Simpletractors.com it is a site dealing strictly with Simplicity and Allis Chalmers

The 3410...you can put a nova ignition module in...costs about 12 dollars and eliminate the points...if you have the $$$$ you should pick them both up....never hurts to have backup....the price is a little high for not working tractors....no deck with the 3410?...really only worth about 275 to 300 bucks...around here in New York...the newer one is probably a 350-400 dollar tractor in working condition...the tiller adds a little to the value...what would you use them for?
If you are mechanically inclined, you should get some good use from either one

These are hard to come by in my area. The 3410 is complete. I'm learning that way because I have found some Alice Chalmers attachments for a good price that should work on it. How hard is the Nova swap
