I normally buy the Torch brand spark plug as a substitute for the J19LM in bulk (100 piece shop pack). Now I cannot even find them at my supplier.

Can anyone help? I paid $0.77 for each plug at mowtownusa.com now they only sell Champion and Oregon brands.

help!

The J19LM is available in champion brand through most all OEM distributors, as well as Rotary, but it looks like the shop pack is only 24 plugs. Stens has a 100 pack of a GL4C that replaces J19LM, but it is a no name replacement. Expect to pay about $1.25-1.35 each, even in the shop pack unless you do a high volume with the source and qualify for a discount. I only stock about 10 different common plug numbers, the rest I get as needed at my local auto parts for $2.00 each. Even at that price it is better than keeping my money tied up on a bunch of plugs sitting on the shelf for awhile. I think he is paying about $0.96 each. When the word "Small Engine" is put on a part, it seems to double it's price. Heck, he even sells fuel filters for less than what I pay wholesale in bulk.

I normally buy the J19LM clones in bulk. They come in packs of 100 spark plugs in a nice styrofoam holder. I go through 2 of those shop packs per season.

The best price on the internet comes out to be around $1.10 per plug which is not bad I guess. However, last year, I only paid about $0.85 per plug.

Talk about inflation. I should have loaded up last year.

I was able to find a seller on Ebay who sold me 200 Briggs Quantum air filters (clones of course) for $1.75 each. Not bad, but I had to store the dang thing over the winter. Let me know if you need his name. I buy a lot of my little gaskets from him too.

Seen too many aftermarket air filters that were not up to snuff, use strictly OEM here where possible. Something so simple yet so critical can cause problems down the road for the customer. Just a little dust getting around the filter seal will toast an engine eventually. Plus you would be surprised how little price difference there is on aftermarket vs. OEM on a lot of items. I have seen cases where OEM was actually cheaper.

I stock mostly Stens stuff..

I order alot from sjmparts.com

They sell Genuine J19LM for about 1.50ea

or the GL4C replacement, for about .98 each

I buy the Mega-fires for 1.18ea, not the cheapest, but they seem to work just as well as the real thing.
