Note that this one shipped nearly a month after your #2 even though 5 numbers lower.
Thanks Don.

It looks like I got a pair of sisters from the same dealer and one close sibling from the factory. It's such a lovely family.

I really didn't really know about there exhistance until a post on one a few years ago. This is the best tractor IMO GRAVELY/Ariens made. The only sad part is they didn't continue hi flow, low flow and 4 wheel drive perhaps even Diesel power etc. Great tractor I'm sure those who have wished they would have continued but moved to zero spins maybe competition or profits!
The fact of the matter was that sales dropped to the point where Ariens/Gravely could not afford to keep making them. In short you can't sell what people don't want. Would you spend $15,000 for a 20G? How about $7500 for a Pro12? That is what those tractors would sell for today. How did I get those figures? I went back to about 1972 and compared the price of a Gravely to the average price of a new car. I also took other price lists for later years as well.

In general the price of a new Gravely had not changed in over 30 years. A two wheel tractor cost about 25% of the cost of a new car. The top of the line 4 wheel tractors like the 816 and 20G cost about 50% of the price of a new car.

That's interesting. Wakefields is only a few miles from my house. Now that tractor resides in Texas. These things move all over the country. Pretty cool..

I imported that tractor from Ohio to Texas.

My 18G was built around 1991 in the Clemmons factory, at the same time that I lived there, less than 2 miles away. It spent its life with its first owner in Michigan, where I moved in 2005. I bought the tractor in 2009.

Did you buy it from an individual or wakefields?
Neither. I bought from Carmichael's

At the time I had the money earmarked for a Pro-16 but that tractor came up so I bought it.
