Does anybody know an easy way of removing the rear belt guide next to the rear pulley present in some John Deere riding mowers. When replacing the drive belt this guide {or stud, as John Deere calls it} needs to be removed and then screwed back in when the new belt is in place. Its very hard to get your hands or tools into the work area. This portion of the job can be very time consuming.

Oh okay I'm not familiar with that model but I'm guessing you'd have to remove the mower deck and rear wheels to get in there.

How old is that tractor...only about 2 years?...It needs a drive belt already?...i do believe some of these engineers do dream up ways of making it near impossible to work on some of this stuff...sme of them you have to remove the steering column to get the new belt around it
