I would guess it's a 82 since 142, 14 being tractor and 2 being the year.
I found an ipl online and it has a handwritten entry that looks like "bearing 748-121" or 127 but I don't find a MTD part of either of those , even with a zero in front of the 1.
update: in the IPL itself I see 748-171 for that bearing so looks like whoever wrote on the ipl made a mistake. I see it available aftermarket as bronze
