Are they any good?
What model are you looking at? I believe the 15 series have mitsubishi engines on them and based off older model Cub Cadets. And the word is they they are coming out with a subcut this year. I'm guessing here but i think it could be based on the 5000 series cub cadets.

My brother was searching for a tractor for a few years and finally came to the realization that perhaps buying new may be the best thing to do. He ended up with a 65hp 4wd Mahindra, along with a back-hoe, front end loader, and brush hog attachments for about 35k if I recall correctly. It also came with Ag tires.

I am going to direct him to this great site

Mahindra and International were in partnership on a plant IH built in India. When Case merged with IH, They had to divest themselves of the plant. (Antitrust laws) Mahindra then bought out IH share and made the tractors for IH. They made a number of models for IH and the 35DI I believe is the last IH styling of tractor they now make. (Sheetmetal styling)

I do not sell tractors and I try to be very impartial to the tractor brands but if you are looking for a stout tractor for a fraction of the price then the 00 series is the best bang for your buck (just my opinion) They run up to a 6500 which is 65 HP and FYI they are the fastest growing tractor in America and when they get the brand reconigtion thrust me the prices will rise.

My dad bought a Mahindra 6000 (60HP, 2WD) about 3 years ago. He's happy with it... VERY happy with it. I've used it a few times and I've found it a very 'user-friendly' tractor.

Just a piece of trivia.... the one and only "gateway to North America" for Mahindra tractors is right down the road from me, in Tomball, Texas... no, they don't do wholesale... :(

Just my humble opinion, but I'd recommend them over just about ANY of the "other" imports (Kioti, Zetor, Belarus, etc.)

When (if?) I ever get a new tractor... It'll most likely be a Mahindra...

I have a 350-DI. It is the low end tractor in price, but not in quality. It is a heavy tractor and I have had absolutly no problems. If you need replacement filters, you can look them up at wixfilters.com. Wix part numbers will cross over to fram at any parts store.

I have a 6500 4WD that I bought new a year ago. Only "problem" was that one valve connection on the loader joystick loosened up and I had to remove the boot and retighten. Total cost, one narrow snap tie out of my big bag (3 cents, maybe). I got the Mahindra because: a) great dealer close by with good local reputation for service; b) best power/weight for the buck (similar orange was 35% more and similar green was over 50% more); savings allowed me to get skid-compatible QA FEL, forks, bale spear, and canopy and still be less than the bare bones K or JD.

My place is pretty hilly and I have the tires fluid filled and set the widest they will go. I'm in small scale hay production with a 7' belt-drive sickle bar mower, used 9' tedder, 11' 5-wheel rake, and a very temprimental IH 46 (1957 model) baler. My little A-C can handle the tedder, and might handle the mower and rake (with some difficulty) but has no chance with the baler. The Mahindra pulls/powers with no problem on our hills and is heavy enough to soak up the baler ram shock as well.

All the majors make pretty good tractors in this size range, but if you have a good dealer fairly close, I don't think you can beat Mahindra for the money.

I love Mahindra C35 and I like the Diesel Jeeps Mahindra used in India (its a great to stay away from too many people too much garbage) it was getting 35 mpg. In Israel I saw on John Deere and about 30 Mahindra this was back in Dec 1998.

Chipmaker every eat at Gilleys in Jerusalem best pork chops in town! I miss the Sweeties (green oranges), but people don't smile there.

I have heard the hydraulics are a little weak. Is there any truth to that statement?
My hydraulics seem to be strong, I have never had them fail on me when lifting heavy object.
I have not compare my Mahindra in lift competition with a JD or Kubota.
