I want to know what do u guys and gals think would be the best hydrostatic transmission oil.i have a toro 212-h that i plan on useing for plowing. what kind should i get.thanks-brandon :trink40:

What's the manufacturer of the hydrostatic drive? If it's a Sauer Sundstrand it will spec 20w20, ATF or 5w20 motor oil (go with 5w20). If it's a Tufftorq, they normally spec 10w30, but for a replacement oil on the small "sealed" ones, most use a synthetic 20w50. Hydrogear typically specs 15w40.

well i dont have a manual or anything thats why i wanted to no.o cant find the name of the tranny.

Try Toro.com and input 212-H for product manuals/info.
