Hard to believe Christmas in Minnesota and there's no snow. I hadn't started the 322 in a while and needed to get some feed back to the chickens so I figured I'd kill 2 birds with one stone. Worked pretty well and my wife even gave me a thumbs up from the kitchen window.

I am also waiting for snow. I started my JD up the other day to drive up to a neighbors house and drop off a Christmas gift. I got back to the garage and shut her down and I had a thought and your picture reminded me of it. I was in the garage looking at the suitcase weights on back and was thinking how it made a perfect shelf to carry a container for sand or a bag of sand to provide extra weight or grits for a little extra traction when needed if you got stuck. Remenber the tubes of sand you could buy to put in the truck of a car for weight or to throw the sand under slipping tires? I might try somethng, the extre weight couldnt hurt. Anyway, Merry Christmas and a New Year to everyone.

How crazy is this no snow Christmas. I swear my grass is still green and I live in Minnesota!
Out of desperation I have been driving my tractor up and down my private country lane. I told my wife I was just trying out my new lights, but after 38 years, she is on to my tricks. She said I just wanted some seat time....and of course she was right.

We're going to have to create a simulation like they do for cross country skiers training on machines. Just pull your GT up to the 50 inch display turn on your controller and have the machine follow your movements and create a snowblowing scene to match your movements. You could even add challenges in it like steep hills for the flatlanders and patch ice to kick you sideways!! :ROF

I guess that's true; we can hardly complain after last winter. I bought the blade this fall because my truck chews up my gravel driveway early and then late in the snow season. I figured it would save the driveway. Who'd have thought we'd have <1" on the ground.

last year we got a REAL lot of it real early, there is still plenty of time to set records! :)

I bet the blade purchase will pay off big... I don't think you will have to wait long to find out either...

I took advantage of another mid-50s degree day on the first day of winter (!) to hook up the sweeper and sweep the pine needles, twigs, sticks and loose gravel off of the driveway. Less junk to cause problems with the snow blower when the time comes. Since out freak October storm has all melted we have zilch. I'm hoping it stays that way this week so I can get even more brush ready for burning season on Jan 15th.

Well, up here in eastern Canada we have been blessed with about 15 cm's of snow in the last 1 1/2 days so I have had my tractor out 2 times and it is working great. Also great to have a white Christmas, especially for my 10 year old daughter. By the way, I hate green Christmas's.
