I thought a blizzard that shut down interstates and stranded tons of travelers would get some attention here on MTF. Then again, I'm in a 40 degree bubble here right now, so I can't say much. No ice here even, though it was looking good for a spell here in SE WI. Light rain/ fog currently.:-(

Lets' see some good pics of the snow, or hear a good story from the blizzard. I know someone has to have one....

You know what, I don't think we have many members in the area that got hit! Very few New Mexico, Colorado, Texas Panhandle and Oklahoma members I can think of. Now had it gone a bit further into Texas I think we'd have gotten a good response!
Be careful what you wish for.
I wish for lots of snow, carefully:fing32:

Doesn't North Korea have better Internet service than that part of the country? :sidelaugh

Seriously, that was a nasty storm. The two news stories I saw both ended happily with folks rescued after several days in their cars. My son just arrived in Kansas to his new duty station the day before it hit but all he got was lots and lots of rain.

ggsteve, funny you should mention it but yes S. Korea has way better Internet service than the U.S. especially in rural America. There are several grants being issued or have been issued to companies to "build out" the Internet into rural America. The funny thing is that they get the funds and end up building their "core" service area (almost always densely populated areas), and never seem to get out into rural America!

I'm lucky to live in the "high tech" North East, but even so, my little town was late to the party on Internet. The morning the truck came to install broad band I met the technician at the door. He had this funny little smile, I asked him why. He said that he had already had four appointments that morning and everyone met him at the door!

I live pretty far out in the sticks and I have fiber optic right to my router!
