What kind of gear puller to buy

looking to buy a gear puller. So I can remove pulleys and gears on shafts.
I have a bs motor that as the blade adapter on it and need to get adapter off crankshaft. the problem is the blade adapter is close to the bottom of block less then 1/2" cleaneress between the block and adapter. what kind of puller would I buy to pull it off. I have 2 and 3 jaw pullers ,but the jaws will not fit between block and adapter. this is on a push mower.
any suggestions.
