Looks like a depth gauge? I don't remeber the one on my tiller looking like that one though.

MU
I believe you are right. My is similar to that without the paint.

If this is a depth gauge then how does it mount to the tiller and why can't I find it in the parts book?

I don't have the Operators Manual, I was just looking online at the parts breakdown and did not see a part like mine. Is your Manual for a L74 tiller, side drive model?

Geez, no sooner do we get rid of tractor porn than we are forced to deal with tiller porn!! I thought when Munderhill sold out we were done with this stuff.

Does anyone have an Operators Manual for the side drive tiller? I'm not able to find one posted on line.

Bart, that one in the photo isn't mine. This one is mine, but I'm trying to make it look like the other one.
Good, I feel a lot better now. When you figure out how to make your tiller look like the other one I send my wife up for a makeover.

I have the manual and there is no reference that I was able to find to the "drag" bar. I think it is from a center drive tiller.

Thanks Rol. If it is a drag bar then it must be missing something, it looks like another part should fit inside of this one with a pin through the hole to adjust something. Maybe this isn't for the tiller that it came with, maybe it is for another Ingersoll implement. Anyone have a suggestion or guess?

Yes, I have a guess. I think it is for the center driven tiller. Looks somewhat like one that I had. Perhaps has been modified to provide additional drag.

Rol,
That item is far too long to work on a tiller for a Case or Ingersoll. I've never seen a drag bar that extends through the tiller housing and can be raised or lowered from above. The drag bar for the center-drive tiller is short and bolts on permanently. The tiller parts book shows the short drag bar.
