Handshake Seals the Deal
Our Sears closed down due to a lack of business.
Try ACE.2. Love Sears or hate them, they had a much better Craftsman tool stocking policy than what's happening at Lowes so far. At Lowe's, I can't find single tools, only sets. Sears had everything broken down to individual tools (in case you lost one or otherwise didn't need or want to spend the money on a full set).
The man Ed Lampert that owned Kmart filed for bankruptcy years ago and the court discharge all his debts. As a result, he had a ton of cash one or two years later and was able to buy Sears and run that in the ground.Never understood why Sears took on KMart who was already bleeding to death ~~oldguy~~
I know Lord and Taylor takes returned online purchases. My wife will buy 6 pairs of shoes from them online. When she gets them, she'll try them on and say she has to return 2 or 3 pairs because they don't fit right. Its just an excuse to go to Lord and Taylor store and buy more clothes.:tango_face_sad:I took a chance buying a couple a pairs of shorts online from K mart last spring. They didn't fit, and they provided a prepaid label for the return. All communications was Sears Customer Service. All attempts to get a refund have been ignored. So, one expensive lesson learned, don't buy Sears/Kmart online.
I also figured I didn't buy enough from Amazon to go Prime. But I tried it with one of their promotions. Now, with free shipping my use has gone up substantially. Being rural, I no longer have to drive 10, 20, or 30 miles to get things not carried in my small hometown stores. You do have to comparison shop to be sure it's not worth the drive, however.
