Unless the machine has other flaws, the price is pretty fair at $2900. The blower for the newer 300 series sell for 750-1000 around my neck of the woods. Tractor with deck sell starting at $2500. 300 hours is very reasonable if the maintenance was kept up.

thanks for the info!

do you know of the blower lift and chute adjustments are auto or mechanical??
what is the good and the bad on this machine...

anyone?
All good and no bad that I can think of. The 345 & GX345 were one of the best ever built by JD IMO. My neighbor just got a 1998 from a friend of his and he just loves it. He mows about 5 acres with it and on some very steep hills. His has the 54 deck. slkpk
This past April I sold my 2000-345 with 2160 hour on it to a neighbor for $2700.00 and new snow blower and he still think he robbed me. He cuts 5 acres. I replaced my old tractor with a 2005 GX345 with 112 hrs I found from a guy that had it in a storage barn for 5 years. You do the math $2900 is a steel IMO. A few years back at my JD dealer I got to talk with a JD service rep, and asked him why they quit making the 345/gx345 and he told me JD figured it was to much tractor for the money.
wow, I better get out to C it today!

thanks for the input!
I hope you get it, that sounds like a **** of deal. 300 hours is nothing.

My first should have said NO snow blower

You have not said year. makes a difference on price.

Price is good for any year. Blowers sell for $600 to $700.

The 345 has hydraulic lift on deck which is what lifts blower. Standard chute rotation is crank. You can get an optional electric rotation kit but I like the crank better.

With suitecase weights, etc the deal is even better.

Cracked hood is common. You can replace it by replacing the top section only. Lots of dealers on ebay selling them new.

Great tractor. I love mine.

And what does that make the X540???:fing20:
Great tractor got mine new 14 years ago 550 hrs. still has one of the three orig belts other than that only a few minor parts replaced. orig. battery lasted 11 years all mine does is mow grass 6 months a year gives the best cut on any mower (54) that I ever used.
If its a 20 hp its one of the newer ones. That is a **** of a deal with only 300 hours on it. I got a gx345 a couple of years ago and just love it. They are a rugged little tractor.
Good deal!! Have you picked it up yet?
we just could not meet up on monday, I WILL be seeing it today though.

I will post back!

thanks for all the info-
