I meant do the numbers mean something specifically?
Maybe gear ratio's or something like that, or is it just like a series number? i.e. 2nd series for the 200's, 3rd series for the 3000 line in Ingersoll.
Also the second number, does it have a meaning? Or are/were they just repeating the first... 220,222,224 sounds better than 20,22,24..:dunno:

Here's a good example, the re-badged 3000 series Ingy's for Massey Ferguson made some sense, a 218 had an 18HP engine.
