with all the rain & more on the way, stopped by NAPA picked up 3/4" high valve stems for my 10.5" wide 445/455 rear wheels that someday will have some Carlisle Versa turfs and bolted to X595.
I parked X595 48 hours ago & the mud is still wet, so I just had to clean the mud off my SE wheels.

What did I do with my JD? Nothin'.. again.. the inch or so we got didn't stick to the driveway, I still haven't gotten to try the sweeper since I rebuilt it.. Jan 19th and Feb 6th were the only times I've needed the JDs, ( and those amounts were marginal), since the New Year. Sigh..

Burned.. love the mud pics... especially the one with the magically clean rim! LOL!!

Got rid of the swimming pool blue and used Rustoleum John Deere Green...it does not really look exactly like JD Green...but it doesn't hurt my eyes as that other color did ...the seat cleaned up nicely, too...a little bleach and scouring powder and a scrub brush.... also ...I know Russ wanted to see my spray booth...that is it in the background.
Excellent job, it looks night and day!

Just got my first JD, a 1997 325 gifted to me by my in-laws. Maintenance was up to date and it arrived with a full tank of gas so I cut our new property for the first time. The mower runs great. Small oil leak onto the exhaust. Cut 2 acres of grass and the tank is on 3/8ths and that seems pretty good to me. Also, my 11 year old son swiped it from me and cut about a 1/2 acre on his own. I just showed him how everything works and gave a safety briefing and he was off. Very easy for him. 20200319_154138.jpg 20200319_154212.jpg

Setting up a modification to raise my seat up and back so I'm not hitting the steering wheel all the time. Pics later if it comes out ok. Edit: Didn't come out the way I want but this was what it looked like, I'm 6'3" and about 340 lbs. At this location my legs are fine but steering is still in my gut.

I'm guessing it wasnt a "plug and play" fit was it?

Sent from my SM-G930V using Tapatalk
The X720 gauge cluster bolts up to the X595 just fine, The plug was changed.

After the record 2-3" rainfall yesterday I'm clearing more trees off, the only reason I can work is this is one of the highest points on my place, every low place here still very very wet. and since it is 32 degrees outside I had to warm my gloves from the exhaust of the X595.

And that is called shivering while timbering!

Took about an hour and went around the yard with the cart getting the winter debris from the trees. Sorry no mud to show although the yard is a wet as I've ever seen it. Soft to walk on and I suspect if I had turfs on the tractor I would have been spinning in spots.

Changed the deck wheels on my X534. The old wheels were very wobbly. I thought they might have been aftermarket ones with too large holes, but it looks like they were just worn out.

Interesting, never would have thought of that. Would it make sense to bore them out and press in some bushings?

Hmm, you are right. It does look like the spindle is worn too. I'll have to check that. I think the PO must have had the wheels down low and kept the deck low most of the time. They might also be the original wheels and just worn out after almost 400 hours. The flange nuts were slightly worn, so I planning on replacing them soon.
