And I didn't even use my snowblower once this year. Weird, Weird....Weird weather!!!
Don't worry, @MARK (LI) already pulled his blower, all but guaranteeing an April Nor'easter...

Here is a quick video on my snow storage and a few pictures.
Here is some pictures for perspective. The first one I am about 10' off the ground. A majority of the snow I am standing on has been through the snow blower at least twice, so it is very compacted.

I'm about 3' off the ground here. From the road you can only see the top 2' of the tractor cab.

Bad fuel pump, no deck, and lots of electrical hacks. I bought it a couple years ago to part out. Only now finding the time to do it. I have 3 more to do after this (316, 318, and a 322) and then I have to tackle the combine!!! That will be a fun project. Glad I have a new toy coming to help with the combine tear down.
Wow, those pics are crazy. It's sunny and warm here today, the kids were wearing shorts, playing whiffleball...

If I were closer, I'd buy that 455 from you and fix it up. Those are (relatively) easy fixes!

Smaller diameter and length would be of interest to my friend who made traveling bed to work with his 15” bandsaw. He can handle up to maybe 4’ lengths and run it like a mini sawmill. He’s cut a 19”D x 21”L piece of white oak in 1/2” slices for plaques. He can run them in his CNC router table. Learning computer program, speeds-n-feeds for various woods, cutter types (V, ball, straight), and such for putting lettering on a plaque he’s making for me. I made the initial model and sent it to him. He’s done some wood working pieces, but is learning as he goes since he just got the CNC running since he retired.

Real interesting! I like learning about things, but prefer the computer design side. Especially if I can find people who have the cutting equipment and have the expertise in that particular medium (steel, wood, plastic, etc.) I’ll try to get some pictures of each. I’ve posted my steel experiences for my plasma cut skid extenders and 54” front mount dethatcher.

I forget where I posted the question about putting hydraulics on my Mini Hay Wagon, but I found the answer at the big auction. When I went to the preview I found a 6" stroke electric/hydraulic cylinder for a Myers snow plow. I went home and did a search and found a rebuilt unit was $850, and a brand new one was between $1600 and $2300. Today while waiting for the auctioneers to get to my row, I started walking around. After I left the preview yesterday some one brought in a whole row of junk Myers plows. There was a pile of the lift units, with 6 or 7 of them. I saw the auctioneer getting close to my first row and rushed over and won the bid on the first unit for $5. Then I went over to the next row and won the bid on 2 more units, plus a brand new motor to drive the pump, still in the package, $5 each $23 total. I'm a happy camper.

I have two, (three now....) they like to investigate what I am doing..... If I am laying under something, then I get the 'are you ok' licks...... Makes workin' on stuff fun. :D Not sure about number 3 yet. Just got her a month or so ago, and it's been too cold to play outside. She has learned other 'not so desirable' habits from the other two though..... So, not holding out a lotta hope. :D

They always look that way on the surface. Continued on with my inspections last night. Compression is low and so far I’ve pulled off more parts that have gone in the scrap pile or trash than parts to keep/sell. To put this machine back in service and for it to be reliable would cost well over $1,200. That is just not economical.

Drained the coolant and oil last night and left the petcocks open to dip overnight. The goal for this afternoon is to clean off my rolling bench to tear the engine apart and get the engine out and on the bench.

BUT first I have to do some maintenance on the SB1174 blower on the 4066R. That may very well consume the afternoon!

Some parts you are considering for the scrap pile might have a use unless they are busted.

Three plus hours of work and the SB1175 is ready to go again. Lots of small things, first up was the pins. Oops, it’s come loose before but never so far as to have the nut fall off. It wasn’t like that yesterday before I blew, I checked it!

Then it was onto shear bolts. A grade 5 bolt shouldn’t look like this after 20 minutes of run time… fixed that with a new batch of bolts.

On inspection of the loader I found a loose pin that holds the skid steer plate to the loader. That wasn’t loose 10 hrs ago when I last looked over the loader really well. Ended up having to remove the pin and chase the threads before I could put it back together. Crisis averted! Now i

Old L118 just passed 1000 hours last week. Changed the oil & filter and air filter. Replaced the blades and did more paint touch up. With the deck off I discovered a bad kink in the blade engagement cable, so ordered a new one as well a new deck/blade belt.

Just got another John Deere x540. Now I have 3 John Deere lawn tractors.
Question is, this one I just got, I purchased a new hood for it, and I need to place the decals on each side. The ones that have the X540 and multi terrain.
Is there any tips for apply those decal so no air bubbles, and it lays flat? I don't want to mess it up.

I finished up the H3 install from Auxiliary Hydraulics. It's a straight forward, medium/easy difficulty factor job. It is time consuming though. Just follow the directions and it's not that bad. Even a caveman could do it. Everything works as planned and no leaks. Just in time for wood processing time. I use the grapple to hold up the logs as I buck them. Trailer attached to the 3 point transports them to the splitter and finished stacking location.
If you use both the 3 pt and a front attachment this is so much worth it. No pictures of underneath because with me, Jack (German Shepherd) and the tools there just wasn’t room for a camera.

Everything is included in this kit. All orings, hoses, adapters and even rivets if your saving the toolbox instead of the cup holder option. The only thing I had to have was the tools, a rivet gun to set the rivets and about a qt of hydraulic fluid.
