Ah-Boy--this just looks "McGyviers-ish' right off the bat. Rivets tin/strips--ok I'm looking forward here--I like when WE take fixin's into our own hands.![]()
It's just what old poor folk doLol, all I need is a mullet.
I grew up very poor and we always got the most out of what we bought. I know I drive my wife crazy doing stuff like this but it drives me crazy when her parents would buy new appliances just to get a new model when the old one was fine.
Couple that with new stuff dying prematurely and I'm even less likely to buy new when old is working well, with...ahh...a few tweaks here and there.

Hope they help you out this time. Fingers crossed and praying for you.Been one busy day. Doctors and more doctors. Getting to look like that's all I do but run to doctors.
Just maybe they will have me back together by early summer. Life has me feeling like Humpty Dumpty lately. Just need to get all the pieces back together again. And life goes on.
Ouch, I did that with a windshield from a tractor can a few years ago. Ended up at Urgent Care on a Sunday to have them relieve the pressure under my toe nail. That toenail still isn’t right….To make a long story short, on Saturday I was fixing a floor jack and the short bolt that holds the handle in ( supposed to, anyway) must not have been screwed all the way in...I had lifted it onto the tail gate of my pick up to work on it and when finished grabbed the handle in my left hand and the other end in my right hand...I lifted it up and the handle came out in my hand and the jack landed on my left foot...it hurt like a bazooch ...I don't know why I didn't have steel tip shoes on
Casio CFX9850 - sits on my desk at work. It’s been with me since 1998.When I went back to school for my current career I had to take college algebra. Everyone used a TI calculator. I bought a Casio but the instructor had no idea how to help me learn to use it.
I taught myself how to use it and found out it had waaaay more features than the TI. I had a serious advantage using that Casio and passed with a 104% score.
I forgot all that algebra within one semester. Couldn't even help another student with intermediate algebra. What a waste of time.
Don't think I will ever again allow no I am not going in on health care complaining.if they hurt enough to complain it worth looking into if not already in doctor care. The original Sunday night prediction for Monday night's snow was 12" to18". By early evening on Monday, it was predicted at 4" to 12" (quite a range!) I woke up Tuesday morning to a light dusting of snow, but by Tuesday evening, we had about 5" on the lawn, but the road, driveway and sidewalk where we live were clear. Tuesday's evening news described the snow as being VERY location dependent in that areas close together could get quite different amounts. I saw that 4 miles east of me had virtually no snow, but 5 miles north of me had a lot more than we did. Strange weather indeed.
On Wednesday, we went southwest to New Holland PA to pick up some auction purchases, mostly books and blankets, but for $1 I got an original Roto Stripper with the box. They chuck up in a drill and remove paint like crazy! You just had to be real careful with them because the wires would break and fly off into eyes, flesh and other places. The main goal was to eat at a buffet restaurant in that neck of the woods and then pick up some home made ice cream from a 103 year old dairy on the way home. Looked like the lawns in New Holland were just starting to green up for spring. It was a really good day, even with all the driving time. But once home, my wife started to complain a LOT about her foot hurting and that it felt hot. I wasn't allowed near her foot, but I tried to take her to one of those Urgent-Care places, but she just wanted to go to bed and try and sleep.
A long time ago ( like about 40 years ago) I was bringing an air conditioner out to the garage after the season to store it, when it started to fall apart in my arms and it landed on my toe and gave me one of those unmistakable reddish / brown things under the nail.....my sister insisted that I let her use a tiny drill bit to drill through the nail by spinning it around in her fingers ( she wanted to use a drill...I was not having that) ..the second it penetrated my nail, a shot of blood squirted out and at that instant the pain was gone...since then I have always had a few very small drill bits in the medicine cabinet...I don't need them that frequently ...but it is instant relief...The nail didn't get it this timeEnded up at Urgent Care on a Sunday to have them relieve the pressure under my toe nail. In lieu of a fine drill bit, a sewing needle heated to red hot with a flame, then carefully/gently applied will instantly and safely pierce through the nail and garner the same result (with the "squirt")A long time ago ( like about 40 years ago) I was bringing an air conditioner out to the garage after the season to store it, when it started to fall apart in my arms and it landed on my toe and gave me one of those unmistakable reddish / brown things under the nail.....my sister insisted that I let her use a tiny drill bit to drill through the nail by spinniing it around in her fingers ( she wanted to use a drill...I was not having that) ..the second it penetrated my nail, a shot of blood squirted out and at that instance the pain was gone...since then I have always had a few very small drill bits in the medicine cabinet...I don't need them that frequently ...but it is instant relief...The nail didn't get it this time
Paper clip red hot is good. The blunt tip is less painful. I had a doc use a hypodermic needle and jabbed that spear point deep into the crushed nail bed. Good lord that hurt.In lieu of a fine drill bit, a sewing needle heated to red hot with a flame, then carefully/gently applied will instantly and safely pierce through the nail and garner the same result (with the "squirt")
Aaahhh ... Yeeesss, thaaat's better 🎼🌼

The relief of a hot paper clip or safety pin is amazing…. In the case of my toe, I couldn’t reach my toe (since I twisted my back trying to catch the windshield) and my wife (the nurse) said we needed to have a Dr look at it because of the swelling. Turns out I broke the tip of my toe (that bone fragment is still floating around) and ended up in a walking shoe for the better part of 6 weeks to try and get the bone to heal.A long time ago ( like about 40 years ago) I was bringing an air conditioner out to the garage after the season to store it, when it started to fall apart in my arms and it landed on my toe and gave me one of those unmistakable reddish / brown things under the nail.....my sister insisted that I let her use a tiny drill bit to drill through the nail by spinniing it around in her fingers ( she wanted to use a drill...I was not having that) ..the second it penetrated my nail, a shot of blood squirted out and at that instance the pain was gone...since then I have always had a few very small drill bits in the medicine cabinet...I don't need them that frequently ...but it is instant relief...The nail didn't get it this time
Conan the Ball-bearing...I think you gave me a new thing to mess with my friend's heads 😂Kicking back on the couch after a good day at work. I have a student doing my job for me.
She was walking a patient who passed gas loudly, it startled her and she let go of the walker, twisted around and said "Oh my God!!" then lost balance and my student had to prevent her from falling.
First flatulent induced near fall I have witnessed or heard of. She told the OT who evaluated her that "I can trip on air." She literally did with my student--hot air.
Watching a good old movie, Conan the Ball-bearing. "Crush enemies, see them driven before you..." Love it.
