Well, I was lucky enough to be able to take my new Cobalt SS on the track at Michigan International Speedway today, and all I can say is, YEE HAW!

Here are some pics from the adventure!!

Sounds like a real fun afternoon; the big smile is evident.

Miss the days of playing with SCCA but never had the chance to get anything onto a track like that. That 95 limit bites though; still must have been fun through the curves especially. Glad you had the chance and a good afternoon.

Thanks. It was great fun. I found out today from the organizer of the event that the reason we couldn't go much faster was that two weeks ago, another car club was there, and one the guys wrapped his new corvette into one of the turns. I guess it caused about $8000 worth of damage to the track, and totaled the 'vette.

If you go with a car club, there is no cost. They allow various car, motorcycle clubs etc, to go for free. Would have liked to go faster, that's for sure. But still nice to be able to say, "I drove my own car on the track at MIS"
