some of you may has seen a post few weeks ago from me. i got tired of the compact 8es steering loosening up all the time so i went at it making a new arm for steering shaft. ummm took it apart and found i broke the axle again. so i did some looking and discovered the tube went into axle a bit so i found a peice of pipe and went ahead drilled into axle enough then tacked tube in place. now i got to thinking and decided to put 4 triangle parts around the tube and welded everything together. so back to the arm that was coming loose i took some wide flatstock (have no pictures of this) welded a piece of pipe to it. and i took a messed up steering shaft and welded up area for the arm and ground it down smooth. so back to the arm i cut the top of part then welded a nut on each side one side i drilled the nut out. so i put it on the shaft got it in place then i drilled a hole in pipe on bottom side and welded a nut around it and i drill into the shaft a bit. then i took a bolt made it little bit pointy so it helps keeps it in place. well with it all assembled so far no issues. but time will tell. i also fixed the bent brace for plow picture shows it bent. i hit a rock in drive in 2nd high (remember this machine has rear frame section of a 72 10xl) pictures are out of order again lol and steering wheel is slightly off in warmer whether ill see if i can adjust it to normal
