I have two trimmers so it wasn't important to get this on working, but I had some time and with all the ethanol in the gas problems that I see many as well as I have had I finally ripped the thing apart and cleaned it top to bottom including taking the carb. apart and cleaning it was a mess.
My problem is it floods out after a few minutes of running and when it sits for an extended time gas comes out of the muffler, if I pull the plug which is on the bottom it's loaded with fuel.
Am I correct to assume that the float needle valve is bad?
Thanks

I would start with a new rebuild kit. My Weedeaters don't have floats, it uses inpulses from the engine as pump of sorts. :trink40:

My bad no it doesn't have a float it as a small arm with a spring under one side the needle that I figured stopped the gas flow.
Thanks I'll have to hunt down a kit.
