Was mowing with 6' brush mower, tractor began to struggle, and then quickly the pto stopped. Now the pto will turn when nothing is attached, but will not work the mower. Engine and lift are unaffected. What are some of the possibilities of issues I have? I am no mechanic, so break it down to mr. potato head level so i can understand it. Kind of need to know what I could be dealing with to see if I need to just scrap the tractor or if a fix could be reasonable.

Look a little futher up under the tractor, if I remember correctly there is a shear pin there that will break to keep the pto from being damaged. I admit that I haven't been around a WD for a lot of years. That was how it was on our WD but I've seen others with a different setup, just not sure who's was the stock setup.
