I am wondering how often (hours) this should be done on a twin cylinder Briggs OHV engine? I have never done it on any of our stuff and they are starting to get up there with age ect... I have watched a few videos of this and it doesnt seem to difficult unless I am missing something. Thanks.

It varies wildly...some needing it at or before even 75 hours...nd others go 250+ hours...

When it hesitates on startup, its time.

RED-You da man!

Now....me being "simple-minded", is it better to perform the adjustment on the compression stroke-TDC, or the exhaust stroke-TDC, when the valves are up, or is it a must when they are down??
Don't ask me why this confuses me.....

Manual says 1/4" piston travel DOWN, past TDC on compression stroke.

Personally, I turn it over by hand until 1 rocker is DOWN..and adjust the other valve...and viceversa.
