I have a 62c deck on my x485 that I am pretty good about keeping clean. I have always noticed how it builds in some areas and when its time to scrape how it sticks to the deck and the rust starts. I have tried many of the suggestions on this site, sealer’s, paints, grease, and my last one was X15 coating that lasted one season. This spring I sprayed it with white lithium grease, cheap $2. I removed the deck last week to clean and while doing so I notice instead of it coming off hard with the scraper it came off super easy in big sheets 4 to 6 inches. And what was more surprising was that there was a white sheen on the metal. I was very impressed, easy to apply and cheap. Just wanted to share my experience.

Ive used that on my decks for years and swear by it.
For winter storage I take my decks off as I use plow blades for snow.
Perfect time after doing PM on deck, to spray the lithium on and keeps deck from rusting.
I cover the blades and all.

Glad you found it out.
