My brother in law gave me his bush hog and I have been working on getting it in shape. Someone had removed the grease fittings from the PTO shaft U joints. I've bought new ones but can't find any that fit. They are larger than 1/8 and smaller than 1/4 inch, I'm at a loss, any ideas what they are?

they are probably metric .....5mm

im pretty sure thats the case, i cant see any other reason ....... only other option is to drill and tap so the 1/4 works, but that could end up with trouble

Thanks again for the tip, they were 8mm. I thought I might have trouble finding some but Napa had 'em. They are in and the joints are are greased!

depends on the model of bush hog , could be a press in or drill and tap for i believe a 1/4 x 28 thread

Metric sizes aren't weird!

Nominal pipe sizes that are stated in fractions of inches that they actual aren't, now those are weird.
