Who runs tubes with their V61's? When I ordered mine this week Miller said these tires needed tubes. Just curious as to how people are running them. They are 16/6.50-8 on stock 300 series rims.

I have them on my 400 and I have the bigger tires, 18/8.50-8. I started out without tubes but have since switched because both sides developed slow leaks. I can only surmise the leak was at the bead because since I have had the tubes installed, I have not had to add air.

I think my issues were related to the fact that the rims are not the best. I got my tubes from Tractor Supply so compare prices. I really think it depends on how good of shape your rims are. :fing32:
Condition of the rim is going to be a factor as well. Make sure the lip is in good shape with no deformities/dents etc. I got my V61's from Miller tire and they did not push tubes on me since I had the 18's. I had some bad luck, even though my turfs held air just fine. You have to remember it's a metric tire and the rims are standard so...it's not a perfect fit sometimes.
Go search for Roy Rector's video. He gives a video class on removing/installing tires. Pretty good too.
Harbor freight or Northern sell tire tools and stands. But for the money I would just pay the $10 dollars a piece it costs to mount them and be done with it.
