Hi all,

The Drive Belt on my 800 tube frame mower deck went out yesterday and I need to buy a new one. Does anyone know if NAPA or another retailer would carries deck drive belts or do I need to order on line from one of the stores back east? The part number for the belt is 1185651. Also, any recommendations for where to go on line would be helpful as well.

This is a 1/2" wide x 114" long belt. Common part numbers are 4L114 or A112. These can be bought at any NAPA store without issue. I would highly recommend getting one covered with Kevlar to add some life to the belt. Hope this helps.

Thanks for the reply. The parts manual shows the width being 5/32, but if 1/2" will work great. I will give NAPA a try. Thanks again for the direction and feedback.

Yeah now that I think of it I think the longest NAPA carries is 4L100.

I am always struggling with belt sizes. In the UK all belts are quoted with the A number. It is great to know the deck belt is a A112. I have bought a number of belts for my G10 and still can't find the correct drive belt A number. Does anyone have a conversion for the other belt sizes on Bolens tractors and the A number?

From looking at the parts manual for your G10 you will need the following belts:

Drive Belt = 4L350 = A33

PTO Belt = 4L430 = A41

I just took my mower deck apart on my 1974 H14 and the belt is now garbage. I signed on today to ask the same question; what is a number for my H14 at HAPA ? I think that my H14 has the same belt as all other tube frames ? If a NAPA A112 or 4L114 will fit, what do they cost ?
I only got 2 years out of the new belt that I got from SAM Bolens.
Any info of where to get one would be appreciated.

The drive belt for your H16 will be as follows:

1720573 = 1/2" x 30" = 4L300 = A28

One thing I noticed about all the hydrostatic tube frame manuals is that it lists the drive belt as 34-1/2" long and that it incorrect. The above is the correct P/N.

As far as the tube frame mower deck belt, yes the 4L114 or A112 is correct. Belt life can be be affected by a lot of things; pulley alignment, pulley condition, tension spring condition, bearing condition, etc. In order to get the most life out of your belts, all of the above needs to be in top shape. I would look at that if you are questioning your belt life.
