I have this tractor, probably 5-8 years old. This link: tractor

I recently had someone redo the camshaft, apparently it went bad.
I got it back, ran strong for the first run through.

I then went to use it a week later, it wouldnt crank, checked the battery, was pretty sure the battery went bad, replaced the battery.

I then tried to crank it, click, some smoke coming from the starter, nothing else, so i assumed the starter went dead. I replaced with oem starter and it did start right up. However 30 sec in it would puff smoke and stall. I realized it was low on fuel, so i added more and ran it for a few mins and seemed ok, cut the grass.

One week later, it was turning the motor some on starting but wouldnt go strong enough, i thought the battery was dead, charged it up a bit. Then tried, click, starter wouldnt go, then smoke from the starter, the new starter.

At my wits end here, any thoughts on what is causing this?

Well it turned out the flooding issue was due to a bad tiny o ring in the carburetor .. likely when i kept trying to start it and the motor was locked and didnt realize it, this burnt out the starter.

Replacing the o ring, flushing out the gas and putting another starter on cured the issue (so far).
