Hi All,

Looking for a little guidance. I mowed the lawn last week with no problems. This week, I'm not getting any spark. It cranks like crazy... and it is getting gas to the cylinder, but no spark. :crybaby:

This tractor has always been stubborn to start... especially when warm.

Tractor Model: Troy-Bilt 3312GR
Motor: 12HP Kohler - Model 281707-0435-01

Any suggestions... I'm not sure where to start to resolve my problem.

Thanks for you help - you guys rock!! :trink39:

I'd start with the kill wire coming from the coil, magneto, whatever it's called. Disconnect it and try to start the engine. Make sure its out of gear and the mower deck is disengaged as this will probably bypass the safety switches. If it starts it's probably one of the safety switches that has gone bad. If it doesn't start. it's possible the coil is bad.

Just my two cents worth.

Well... I took a shot in the dark and replaced the armature & she fired right up.

I love it when a plan comes together. :thThumbsU
