My brother-in-law and I are planning a motorcycle trip too Southeast Pennsylvania Leaving Toledo, Ohio area approximately July 6, returning too Ohio on or about July 26, 2009. We will be using two small tents and sleeping bags. We are looking for anyplace too just stake our tents overnight.

The area we will be in, primarily, is Southeast of Philadelphia, primarily within 100 miles...and/or Hatboro, Pa.

Any help will be appreciate.

French Creek State Park is about the closest to Phila - still an hour to Hatboro.
Unless you can use some field.

WOW $28 a night or $150 for 4 days 5 night i can stay in motel for that wasing looking for free stay will pay some thing oh well trying thanks

I'm just outside of Pottstown, PA and I have a couple of acres, but I'm not sure what the local ordinances are concerning camping. My township definitely doesn't allow open fires, but there's a great little restaurant across the street that serves great breakfasts. You're welcome to pitch your tents in my back yard, but there's not much in the way of flat spots. I would offer you my guest room, but we are still renovating our bedroom so we are sleeping in the guest room ourselves.

$17 for a permit.

Hatboro is North of Phila. Within 100 mile SE of Philadelphia puts you in South Jersey. Not sure what you are saying.

What dates exactly are you in SE PA?

I'm in Maryland about 45 miles south of York. I don't know if this helps but you can camp out here and have fires. You could even use my fire pit and grill. Seems like it may be a couple hours from Phili though.

Tinicum park is nice. So is Nockamixon. Both are fairly close to to your target
Why not call the state park info: 888-PA-PARKS

They have a weird price structure."camping" is $4, but a "campsite" is $17. I'd call to find out what makes the difference. You just need a place to drop a tent - you dont' need an electric hookup or anything.

I would think twice about passing on Kevin's offer. Most of us would jump at the chance to get a look at his collection, if in fact he offers. Besides, you will find that the backroads in this area to be some of the most scenic anywhere.

Well that's a different story. I wish your BIL the best of luck and hope his recovery is as successful as my mom's who also had CC. Just enjoy the ride dude that's what it's all about. If you all are big into GT's and beautiful scenery PA is the Mecca and you should have a blast. Best of Luck to both of you.

beautiful scenery is what he want I have 5 well 3 brothers and 2 sister and I'm very closes to him he has helped me more then any of my brothers or sister he more like a brother then a brother-in-law and he's a good friend and I hope everything is going to be ok, but if not I will have the memory of this ride for my life time he said ok on Kevin's I told him it was beautiful where Kevin is so if the offer is still good then we will stop for the night later and thanks for the get well
