Grabbed this on the way to work today (trash picking in a suit...gotta love it). It is HEAVY! Rough shape (paint peeling and a little banged up) but the engine turns and that usually means I can fix it. I have a soft spot for Toro since my dad always had one when I was little; brings back some memories. Anyway, didn't have much time to really look it over for numbers, so does anyone know what it might be? Model/year? Thanks all.

Thanks!

I believe it does have a blade clutch (right lever in my photo). I should have taken a picture of the control panel also; I was kind of in a rush this morning.

Hopefully this won't be too hard to diagnose/repair. How are these engines to fix up as compared to your regular Briggs and/or Tecumsehs?

I'm thinking it's a Model 16785; looks like a mower that a member here has (jwor620) in the "Post picture and model number" thread (pic of his below):

If the weight is any indication of the quality, I'm sure this mower is bulletproof. Just to tie up a loose end, it's a model 20624 from 1987.
